COVID-19 Update

During this worldwide pandemic, we wanted to let you know how it has affected Habitat Rabun. Due to concerns about our volunteers' safety, we will delay any further work on Allison and Daniel's until at least May 1. This decision is in keeping with the guidelines our government and Habitat for Humanity International have set.

We take the safety of our volunteers very seriously, and since most of our volunteers are in the high-risk category, we decided that this was the best course of action. We want to get our 2020 homeowners into their house as soon as possible, so we may put in a few extra workdays this summer once we get through this national crisis. For the same concerns, we have closed our ReStore until it can reopen safely. Currently, we are following the same schedule as public schools. These were difficult decisions to make. Your support and understanding of Habitat Rabun are crucial this year more than most. Affordable housing needs don't stop because of a virus that sweeps the world. They increase. The uncertainty that we all feel during this unprecedented time is heightened in those families who need affordable housing. In the next coming weeks and months, look to hear more from us about we can partner together to inspire hope, build homes, empower families, and develop communities here in Rabun. Thank you again for your support and encouragement. You make everything we do possible!
